Figure Lore & Legacy
As the reptilian brute of Mumm-Ra’s Mutants, Slithe brought hiss-filled menace and brute strength to the ThunderCats mythos. Released in 1985, his figure stood out for its bulkier, amphibian-like sculpt and lizard skin texture, capturing the monstrous presence he commanded in the show. The Battle-Matic arm-swinging feature, along with his menacing axe, gave him a hands-on villainous edge. Though not the mastermind, Slithe’s figure anchored the Mutants as a physical threat to match the ThunderCats’ might.
Did You Know?
Loose Slithe figures are common, but finding one with all original parts—especially the battle axe—is far tougher. Soft-headed variants with pink eyes and brown spines are less common and more sought after than the standard hard plastic version. MOC examples with complete accessories are increasingly scarce, with lever and spine colors often used to verify variant status.
