Jackalman debuted in LJN’s 1985 ThunderCats line as the sly, snarling wildcard of Mumm-Ra’s villainous Mutants. Though less physically imposing than his evil peers, the figure’s sculpt captured his jackal-like cunning with sharp facial details and exaggerated features. Equipped with a spiked club and signature shoulder strap, Jackalman embodied the underhanded chaos the Mutants brought to Third Earth. As one of the original bad guys, he remains a staple in early ThunderCats villain ranks.
Did You Know?
While Jackalman has no known figure variants, his shoulder strap accessory is frequently missing, making complete figures harder to source. The soft plastic strap is prone to tearing or being discarded, and loose club accessories are often mismatched. Despite his secondary villain status, the figure’s facial sculpt is one of the most detailed among Series 1.
